Internet Love!

Do I love you, are you crazy, what makes you think that
We're just two people who meet up to talk daily in chat
Yes you know my sob story and I know yours too
But do you honestly think that I'm in love with you?

Yes I spend lots of time with you, oh please don't ask me again
Lets just carry on as we are, be happy just being my friend
My heart has been broken too many times to forget
And I'm still grieving for a love I've not quite gotten over yet

Yes you make me smile; and I love you in my way
And my feelings get stronger with each passing day
But you don't know me; you don't see what I hold deep inside
You see what I show you, not the parts that I hide

You've never even met me; it's just my words that appeal
Although you've heard my voice how do you know that I'm real?
I'm confused and I'm frightened, I'm not the person you think
Yes, I agree we've made connection, formed some kind on link

You've never asked what I look like, you say it doesn't matter
But I've been around long enough to know the truth is the latter
I can see the vision you've created of me in your mind
Somehow I think you will be disappointed when the real me you find

So lets just be friends, lets share time when we can
I'm not your Woman, and you're not my man
This is a fantasy world, its just a computer and words
I can't be in love that would be way too absurd

So don't push me, I beg of you, please don't make me choose
I'm not ready for this, if you continue you'll loose
I'll never admit to loving someone I can't touch and caress
But do I believe that you can love over the Internet? Then my answer is YES!
